Jan Marcus

Welcome to my webpage. My name is Jan Marcus and I am professor for Applied Statistics at Free University in Berlin.

In my research, I apply statistical and econometric methods for the identification of causal effects and develop these methods further. I focus on empirical questions in the areas of health and education economics, with a particular focus on the evaluation of specific policies - including the introduction of tuition fees, the G8-reform to compress instruction time, voucher programs for sports-club memberships, and a late-night ban on alcohol sales.
